             Many of my friends struggling to make their Twitter Account live and effective. Most of them do not have enough time  to Visit twitter account, then looking Direct Messages, then Retweet, make new shortened URL, new Posts etc. Huh….too much work…

I have a solution for all these problems.Here I am introducing two softwares ( Twhirl and Tweetdeck )  that you may  download to your computer desktop, install it and start using Twitter like your Yahoo/Google Messengers.

Readers may please try both of them and fix the best one for you. I am personally using TweetDeck due to its multiple facilities.

Also note that, you may need to download Adobe AIR platform ( if it is not available in your computer), for both to work properly. Twhirl automatically downloads Adobe Air.

Easy Indexing of your Blog / WebPages in Yahoo within five minutes

Several readers appreciated our work in Indexing a blog in Google within Ten minutes and many of them email us asking about the ways to index their blog in another major search engine, Yahoo. As everyone knows, the indexing in search engines is an important step in Search Engine Optimisation. When your blog become more popular, this will help to get much better Page Rank . Your page will appear in first few pages of Search engine results related to specific Keywords in your Meta tags.Ultimately you will win in bringing more traffic to your pages.

All readers please excuse us, this time we are not providing any pictorial presentation( Mr Kris is much busy in repairing some famous blogs ) . So we go step by step.This will help to get Search Engine Optimization,blog promotion,more traffic,SEO, free tips,techniques and high rankings

Step A:

Create a Yahoo Email ID by visiting www.yahoo.com . Hopes that all of you have at least one Yahoo ID. So keep one ready with you and jump to Step B

Step B:

Go to Yahoo Site Explorer . Click on the ‘Sign in’ link which is at the top of the page. Now, 'Sign In' with your Yahoo Id and password that we have created in Step A. If you already have a Yahoo Account, then login with that.  After login, you will reach a page, where you can see a space provided for Adding your URL.

Step C:

Type the name (URL)of your blog in the box and click on the tab" Add My Site" . Now you can see that name( URL) of your blog or website will appear in a table on that page. Now click on the name of your blog or website which you submitted.

Step D:

When you click on the name (URL) of your blog, you will reach a page where you can see a tab " Authenticate". Authenticate is nothing but Verifying the ownership of your blog or website.

Here you can see, Yahoo will ask, " How you Authenticate your site"? Click on " By adding a Meta tag to my homepage". Now you will get the Meta tag for authentication, which is given in bold letters, starting with <  and ending with >. Copy the META tag to Notepad . Don’t close the window or don’t logout.

Step E:

Now open another browser window and login to the Dashboard of your blog or website.For Blogspot users, ( others may directly go to EDIT HTML portion of their website) after login you will reach "Dash Board", select "Layout" and then "Edit HTML"

This will bring you to the template code. First of all, download a copy of your TEMPLATE to your computer as a BACK UP. This will help you to retain your old settings and layout in case you make any mistake.

Copy the Meta tag from Notepad and paste it in your site’s HTML in the first <head> section of the page, before the first <body> section.

When you look into the EDIT HTML section of your blog, you can see <head> portion within the first few lines and its better to paste the Meta tag just below  that.

Now save template and View Blog in a new Window.This will help to get Search Engine Optimization,blog promotion,more traffic,SEO, free tips,techniques and high rankings

Step F:

Now go back to STEP D and   click on the button "Ready to Authenticate". Now you can see a message that your Site is verified. Some times,you will get a message saying that ‘Your site is pending authentication’ . Don't worry, the verification may take sometime.

Step G:
Now Click on "My Sites" ( you can see this in the left top section of the page,under "Site Explorer" tab). Then click on your blog URL and you will reach a page where you can see Verification status of your blog.  In the same page, look to left side section, where you can see many tabs like,"Statistics", "Crawl Errors", "Feeds","Authentication" and "Actions". 

Click on "Feeds" .

Here you had to give the Feed URL of your blog or your website.The below given is my Feed URL, you can make similar Feed URL by replacing the name of my blog.( by replacing the purple in color and bold)

http://businessvartha.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default

Here your half job is already done. So just Type " feeds/posts/default" in the space given after your URL and Click on "Add Feed".

"DONE" .Check your account after few hours and feel happy that you have successfully submitted your site map to Yahoo. Also you can see any Crawl errors, Statistics of your blog etc.

After trying to vote for my blog, many readers ask the way to nominate their blogs. Before explaining how to do that, I will tell you what are the benefits of participating in such awards.

Nominating your blog in bloggerschoiceawards will help your blog to get introduced in a bigger platform.

You may invite your friends to vote for you by using a badge in your blog and thereby widen your audience.

You must visit blogs of others and vote for them. In most cases they will visit you back to know who voted for them. This will bring more visitors to your blog( some of them will definitely like your blog). A hidden marketing technique to bring more visitors to your blog, isn't it?

It doesn't matter how many votes you grab. All that matters is how many bloggers show interest on your blog. Assess yourself and change your blog and your approach on blogging.

After save and submit, you will get an email immediately that gives you username, password and a link to sign in again. The window will look like this

 

 

Step C

When you click the link from your email, then you will reach a page that shows you have successfully confirmed you account.

Just check whether you have done it correctly.

Now copy this link http://bloggerschoiceawards.com/blogs/show/69551 and paste in the same browser window. Click on Yellow button , if it says VOTED, then you are correct upto this level and proceed to next step.

You can see "My Account" tab in the right top corner and Click on  "My Account" in that page.

 

Step D

Your Account page will look like this. Please see the tab "Nominate" in the top of that page. You can see that tab in the yellow highlighted area in the picture here.

 

Step E

When you nominate your site, as you can see in this, enter some details in "Step one: Info" . Under the heading of "Nominate A Site", you had to enter your blog name, blog description and check boxes if it is written in other languages or contain any adult content. Then click on save and continue to step two.

 

 

In step two, you had to select the appropriate categories of your blog and enter tags for your blog. You may select up to four categories for a single blog. I recommend you to select only one category that will help you to concentrate while canvassing votes for you.

Then save and continue to step three

 

 

In step three, you can see the details you enter in step two then verify it , save and submit. You may see the screenshot of this in this picture.

 

 

 

If you have done everything perfectly, then you will get a message of Thank you for Nomination.

Step F

Now the most important step that will help you to Grab a Badge for your site. I will explain

Type businessvartha.blogspot.com in the search box on the top left corner of the site. You can see the space provided as marked with a red arrow in the picture

 

 

 

The search will lead you to a page like this. In the search result you can see the blog you searched and details of that. Now choose a category in the box. ( It is highlighted yellow in the picture)

 

 

 

After selecting the category ( Best blog of Blogs) you will reach a page where you can Vote in the yellow tab and will get the details of the blog you searched.

In this page you can see an option called Grab Badge where you will get HTML for a badge in your blog.( inorder to get badge for your blog, please restart step F with the name of your blog). Before leaving make sure that you have voted for me and be proud that you have voted for an excellent site.
